Please be aware that the Delhi stage of all itineraries listed here is flexible in that some visitors arriving in New Delhi will arrive late evening (9pm or later) or early morning (2am or later). Day 01: Ahmedabad
Upon arrival in Ahmedabad early morning or early morning transfer and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the morning available for rest. In the afternoon, walking tour of the old town: the complex of SarkhejRoza and the Grand Mosque in the ancient Islamic bazaar (JamaMasjid). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Ahmedabad Patan Modhera Dasada
Upon arrival in Ahmedabad early morning or early morning transfer and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the morning available for rest. In the afternoon, walking tour of the old town: the complex of SarkhejRoza and the Grand Mosque in the ancient Islamic bazaar (JamaMasjid). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Dasada Bhuj
After breakfast, visit one of the tribal villages of the desert where you can see their traditional lifestyles and techniques that they still use to carve metals, decorate textiles and do woodwork. Return to your hotel in Bhuj and overnight in hotel.

Day 05: Bhuj Gondal
After breakfast, leave for Gondal, stopping en route to visit a typical craft centre with traditional textiles and spinning wheels. Continue on to Gondal and check-in at hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Naulaka Palace, a structure dating from the 18th century with beautiful stone carvings that overlooks the river in Gondal. After the Palace, visit the Swaminarayan Temple. This temple has some intricate carvings, reminiscent of the inlay work on the Taj Mahal, and is a spiritual site for Hindus. Overnight in hotel.
Day 06: Gondal Junagadh Sasangir
After breakfast, depart for Sasangir, stopping en route at the fort in Junagadh. Its name means “Old Fort”. Don’t miss the unusual landmark of Mahabat Maqbara, a mausoleum complex nearby. This was built around the mid-19th century and is an eclectic mix of architectural styles. Take time to visit the Buddhist caves nearby that date back to the 3rd and 4th centuries; it is thought that some of the caves have been carved from monolithic rocks. Continue your drive towards Sasangir; check-in and overnight in hotel.
Day 07: Sasangir
Begin your day with an early morning safari in the Gir National Park, famous for its landscapes and protected species. The wildlife sanctuary has several species of flora and fauna and was established in the 1960s to try and protect Asiatic lions, which now roam freely in the park. Return to the hotel for breakfast and enjoy free time for the rest of the day. For those who missed the opportunity of the early morning safari, there is a chance to participate in the afternoon visit. Overnight in hotel.
Day 08: Sasangir Somnath Diu
After breakfast, leave for Diu stopping en route to visit Somnath. The temple there is dedicated to Shiva and had been destroyed several times by Muslim rulers before being restored. Continue on to Diu; check-in at hotel. Overnight in hotel. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 09: Diu Bhavnagar
After breakfast, visit the island that used to be a Portuguese colony and an important port on the Arabian Sea. Stop at the fish market of Vanakbara; visit the massive fort built in the typical Portuguese style, from where you can enjoy great vistas of the sea. Visit the churches of St. Paul and St. Thomas, which have an interesting collection of European statues. In the afternoon, leave for Bhavnagar and check into your hotel on arrival. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10: Bhavnagar Palitana Bhavnagar
An early morning start to visit Palitana, the city of temples. It has one of the biggest complexes of temples in the state and is one of the holiest places in Jainism. There are almost 900 marble temples of differing sizes – possibly built over a period of nearly one thousand years – and they are located on Shatrunjaya Hill. Please ensure you have comfortable footwear on as the temples can only be reached by walking up a staircase that is about two kilometres long. We also recommend that you begin your tour early in the day so as to avoid the heat. Porters are available but there is a fee. Return to your hotel for a late breakfast and enjoy some free time in the afternoon. Overnight in hotel
Day 11: Bhavnagar Lothal Ahmedabad
After breakfast, depart for Ahmedabad, stopping at Lothal, an ancient city that dates from about 3500BC. It was only excavated in the mid-1950s by the Indian authorities and is also known as the “City of the dead”. Lothal is recognized as an archaeological site of the Harappa and Moherio Dario civilizations. On arriving in Ahmedabad, check-in at your hotel and enjoy some free time in the afternoon. Overnight in hotel.
Day 12: Ahmedabad Delhi
After breakfast, depart for the airport to catch your flight home from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and end of our services.
